"Whereas the object may be a child, a landscape, a still life, the subject is always about painting, the images reflect changes and decisions correcting and recoloring the map of searching for spontaneous but recognizable forms.
Whether the media be oil, acrylic, printmaking or computer-generated images, the subject remains the art of painting.
The choices in this kind of painting deliberately avoid the narrative, political, or psychological but colors shapes and marks can be made to signify things beyond themselves. Things happen, they become complex. These are the issues that stimulate and challenge.”
